Our Common Ground may send us down various paths. Common, defined, is a shared known concept, where community comes together. When one peers into the idea of Ground, this is where choices in paths are decided. One may choose the path of diversity surrounded by commonalities. Shared ground, shared dream.
This photographer, however, was lured by the image of the National Cemetery in downtown Fort Smith. This literal sense of ground is cemented in my mind as many of the men in my family served in the United States Army, Air Force and Navy.
WE HAVE YOUR BACKS, in black and white, was taken to show that all are equal in this burial ground; no name is greater than any other.
I find the most COMMON GROUND is where our veterans lie, after they have served us in battle, in life, in friendship and ultimately, in death.
