The acrylic painting, “Sinews of Connection” relates to the theme of the RAM invitational exhibit titled, “Our Common Ground,” by using the analogy of sinews, the tough, fibrous connections in our bodies that work to hold us together. The sinews of connection between people may feel stretched, pulled and sometimes frayed, just as the sinews in our bodies can feel, but nevertheless, the connections are there and we can pull back together through communication. We find our common ground through communication, despite being stretched or pulled in different directions.
