Distinct black and white forms exist as independent shapes, each holding its own presence within the composition. Moving through and between them, a continuous line of black and metallic silver leaf connects, intercepts, and unifies.

This line serves as a visual metaphor for relationship. It suggests that even within separation, there is the potential for connection and shared understanding. Rather than dissolving differences, each element remains intact while participating in a larger, cohesive whole.

The inclusion of silver metallic leaf introduces a quiet luminosity. Historically associated with truth and introspection, it invites a moment of pause and reflection.

Rooted in simplicity, this work relies on balance, restraint, and the interplay of positive and negative space. By reducing each composition to essential elements—line, shape, and a limited palette—I explore the idea that common ground is not found in sameness, but in the subtle threads that bring disparate elements into harmony.
