Thinking about common ground, there are many things that we share. Everyone has red blood flowing through their veins, a requirement for food, water and shelter, we all require oxygen to breathe, and everyone wants to feel loved. When you get down to the most basic concept of something that we ALL have in common, DNA definitely defines "Our Common Ground."

No matter what we find that is different or cause for disagreement or disharmony between us, we all have DNA. And science tells us that the difference in our DNA is about 0.1% (with the exception of identical twins who share the same DNA). Now, I don't know about you, but 0.1% seems like an awfully small thing to cause so much trouble between us. And maybe that 0.1% is a pretty good place to start finding a lot more common ground to resolve our differences, care for each other and maybe make our world - another thing we have in common - just a little bit better for ALL OF US.
