While doing my research before creating this piece, I learned that onions are the most common vegetable used in every culture. After this discovery, my intention for this piece was to display common vegetables utilized around the world. Although we all come from different walks of life, eating, gathering, and celebrating are things that we all look forward to. During times when we need comfort, when we are sad, and when we are grieving, food and our loved ones are always there.  The same goes for when we are celebrating accomplishments or treating ourselves, food and our loved ones are always there. We all cherish a recipe that reminds us of warmth, satisfaction, and comfort. Without tasty gifts from the Earth, we would never survive, and without coming together, we will never survive. So, let's gather, eat, and find common ground as we navigate the world around us.
