In the last decade, families and long cherished friendships have been torn apart over differences more than at any other time I remember. I have not been spared the effects of this intolerance, and it has caused me great loss and deep sadness at times. So, I have vowed my views will not cause me the loss of one more loved one. It sometimes feels like walking a tightrope – being true to myself but not defensive. Focusing on even simple pleasures we share can work wonders.
I love a little wordplay and couldn’t resist it in the title of my painting, but in all seriousness, a conversation over a good cup of coffee is a great place to start.
