"Dandy" Magazine
“Dandy” is the manifestation of a dream that writer and editor, Isabella Wisinger had last summer. Her perspective on print as a medium is that it’s especially needed in times like these, when more and more of daily life is swallowed up by screens.
Wisinger began to imagine what she would choose to preserve between the pages of a magazine; and more than anything, she wanted to make a time capsule of the regional culture.
Now, what she started off building alone, has grown well beyond her – the creative work of 25 Arkansans is contained within these pages; each of us connected by a shared love for our home. Featuring artwork and poems, everything has been carefully chosen to reflect the mission of this publication: to tell stories about the true grit, natural beauty and bitter sweetness of our society. The theme was Decomposition/Recomposition, chosen to represent the cultural changes taking place in Arkansas.
