A body is never just a body. It is held by skin, pressed into the weight of land, yet it is also a terrain, restless and alive with invisible life. Beneath its surface, the body undergoes reactions we cannot fully control: swelling, leaking, tightening, breaking down. These experiences are not singular but shared. They bind us through sensation, vulnerability, and the unpredictability of being alive.

In my practice, I warp the familiar until it becomes unrecognizable. Materials such as clay or felt masquerade as skin, wounds, or scars, yet remain unnamed and unstable. They slip between recognition and estrangement, provoking both attraction and unease. This instability mirrors the body itself, something we inhabit but never fully understand, constantly shifting beyond our control.

My work does not offer answers but instead holds viewers in confrontation with these conditions. It invites the discomfort of not knowing while recognizing something deeply familiar within it. What emerges is a shared space of bodily experience, where the limits of control, comprehension, and autonomy are collectively felt.
