Recreating life with colors and textures is healing for me. Creating art is a time where everything is still, noise fades away, and it’s complete solitude. It’s my recharge. It’s a blessing to be able to take a blank canvas to create distance, perspective, shadows, light, and the mixing of colors, oh my! Painting was never part of the plan for me, it was nonexistent up until 2023 and it has been life-changing. I’m excited to continue this journey in truly finding myself, not only as an artist, but living out my purpose here on earth. This transformation came from God. He changed my life, and I don’t even recognize it. The peace, joy, love, and fulfillment is overwhelming and more real than anything I’ve experienced. I’ve explored all different things to paint. I just enjoy putting life on a canvas, whether that be painting a landscape, portraits of people or animals.

Angelic is probably the oddest piece I’ve done, but it’s been planned in my mind for over a year. In the Bible, when an angel appears, the words written are “Do not be afraid.” To imagine what that person witnessed is intriguing! Some angels were described as “covered with eyes.” My whole idea of an angel growing up was, a beautiful person with wings… maybe some are that way. But I guess what’s so interesting to me is the unknown and imagining these things that are in the Bible. When I read the “Beasts of the Imagination” call, I thought of the angels.
