The thing that has united people, given us our common ground, is stories. Stories existed before the written word, before the first cities. They have acted as bridges between people, cultures, and across time itself. They allow us the ability to see through the eyes of others. To look through the souls of other people and see us. Stories were used to show us that we were all one thing: Human. United us to the central core message that we all came from the same stars, the same dust, the same lone blue dot. Today, we need that reminder more than ever.
