About "A Trail of Tears" Mural
John directed students to paint A Trail of Tears mural on a building in the 100 block of Garrison Avenue. Bell worked for the Western Arkansas Employment Development Agency at the time and the WAEDA Project he worked on was called Art Downtown. The students were participants of the CETA Program, which provided summer employment for low-income high school students. The building was demolished in 1999.
