Women are somehow expected to maintain impossible beauty standards, especially as they age. There are so many anti-aging products on the market that set the precedent that all your value is based on remaining youthful. It seems no matter how hard you try, society will just continue to demand more and more in a vicious cycle that never ends. Therefore, this image depicts the beast hiding underneath the quest for beauty and perfection.
